Please join me in congratulating a friend of Visual Activity: Charlie K. Murphy, Sr. on the launch of the organization’s first-ever Web presence.

We took on a small but important project that gave the organization a new communication vehicle and allows for their customers to view the information in the privacy of their own home.

This, to me, is one of those times where the Web has a chance to help out a small but successful non-profit organization with not only prospective clients, but with partners as well.

The world of e-commerce has been thriving on fees for many years now and it’s likely to become a $20 Billion (US) business by the end of this decade.

While it’s common knowledge for some, there are things with which you need to be aware as you create your e-commerce site include:

• Payment gateways for Google and PayPal
• Shipping methods that include all major players
• The ability to add your brand to the shopping experience
• The ability to create specials and/or coupons

These small and well-known things are missing from so many sites we’re asked to review and it’s mostly because people are unaware that by including them they stand to make a greater profit.
